About the Accredited Jewelry Professional Program

A foundation in sales and salesmanship is critical to success at every level of the jewelry industry. The GIA Accredited Jewelry Professional (A.J.P.) diploma program is a great place to start because it begins with the essentials in jewelry, diamonds, and colored stones. This is where you learn the skills necessary for success from the frontlines of the jewelry industry – the sales counter.

GIA’s A.J.P. program is designed to prepare you for the sales floor – fast! It’s a quick program that delivers big results because it focuses on real-world product knowledge and proven selling techniques. You’ll learn how to deliver effective sales presentations and  gain the knowledge you need to sell diamonds, colored stones, and gorgeous pieces of jewelry with confidence – making jewelry purchases truly unforgettable for your customers.

Moreover, two of the courses in the A.J.P. fulfill requirements for GIA’s coveted Graduate Gemologist diploma. That means if you decide to advance to the G.G. program, you’re already two steps ahead.
